SP Term Cloud
What is SP Term Cloud?
SP Term Cloud is a SharePoint 2010/2013 web part that displays the most popular keywords and terms used in your team site. It shows terms in a tag cloud or tree view which link to a results page with documents and items labelled with the term.
Why should you use it?
SP Term Cloud enables easy access to all information labelled with specific keywords or terms across a site. It helps users navigate directly to the information they need without needing to know exactly where it’s stored, saving precious time.
How does it work?
SP Term Cloud indexes keywords and terms stored in SharePoint Managed Metadata columns. Term usage is displayed using a template such as a tag cloud or tree view. SP Term Cloud automatically configures standard SharePoint queries to display documents and items labelled with the term.

Find Information Quickly
SP Term Cloud displays keywords and terms used on a site with usage counts. When a term is clicked, documents and items labelled with a term are displayed in a clear and concise page consistent with SharePoint search results.
The user doesn’t have to browse through sub sites, document libraries and folders any longer and can navigate directly to the information they need.
Simple To Use
SP Term Cloud has been designed to be clear and simple for users, and is quick and easy to install. The web part displays terms as links in a tag cloud, tree view or menu format familiar to web users, meaning there is no training requirement for use.
SharePoint 2010/2013 + Office365
SP Term Cloud can be deployed as either a User (sandbox) solution on individual site collections or as a Farm solution covering a complete SharePoint environment.
The user solution is fully compatible with SharePoint Online on Office 365 and can be added and tested by site collection administrators without the need for a complicated installation process.
Easy To Configure
SP Term Cloud is configured using the web part edit pane. The web part can be configured to display terms from specific term sets, team sites, lists, list types, columns and dates. By default the web part displays keywords and terms from all term sets and lists in a site.
The user interface can be configured to display SharePoint terms in a tag cloud, a regular menu, a tree view or a tree map.
Extensible
The SP Term Cloud web part can be customised in a number of ways:
1. The standard display templates: tag cloud, menu, tree view and tree map can be styled using CSS.
2. The standard templates can be customised by using them to create new XSLT definitions. Completely new XSL templates can be defined to configure any user interface required from the term usage information.
3. The term link results page can be customised using SharePoint Designer, or
4. The term link results target page can be directed to your own custom results page.
